BLACK CAT PART 2 STORY IN POEM FORM

The Black Cat part two
The black cat she came no more.
we were never so happy before
For now we slept peacefully
through the night
And did not worry about
getting up with a fright,
The days went by and often we would chat.
And wonder what had happened to that black cat.
Did she meet some untimely fate
what ever happened. we did not know at any rate.
We heaved many a sigh of relief
The black cat gone forever
was our belief.
Nights went by with out a care
and broken sleep was very rare.
It happened many weeks later'
we returned ,late from the theatre.
I was deep in sleep, when the familiar sound,
Of dishes crashing to the ground
Woke me up with a terrible fright
my hand quickly reaching for the light.
There she stood on the dining table
As proud as any mother can be labled.
For right behind her stood two tiny cats,
Cute and cuddly and a little fat.
A replica of their mother,
and at the double trouble i did shudder
the mystery of the quiet nights
stood before my very sight
then and then I thought of a plan
how to stand up to this new clan
A a bowl full of milk I did place
Each night, near the fire place
She and her brood would have their fill
And slip into the dark night quiet and still.
No more dishes crashing to the ground
No more ghastly midnight sounds
Every thing was quiet as before
Now my tale of the black cat is o'er
DEDICATED TO THE BLACK CAT
THAT VISITED IN THE FACTORY PREMISES
